# Token Migrations (AMM Swapping)

If a particular stable coin (USD derived) is not suited for DAO operations, members can vote to switch the base stablecoin used within a DAO. For Aetos V1, the flow for switching the base stablecoin is as follows:

Whitelist Capital Vault > Whitelist Returns Vault > Whitelist Operations Vault > AMM Swap Capital Vault > AMM Swap Returns Vault > AMM Swap Operations Vault

Normally the token migration is reserved as a break glass option and is avalliable incase something is wrong with the current stablecoin (depeging imminent etc)

Proposals for whitlisting and AMM swaps can be found within each vaults proposal list.

Make sure to switch over all the stable token in each vault or risk some systems of Aetos not working until the switch is finalised.

Aetos automatically handles the correct conversion of stable tokens so users can start claiming in the new stable token without having extra or missing rewards.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://aetos.gitbook.io/aetos.vc/getting-started/token-migrations-amm-swapping.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
